About my life and what I'm looking for

Hi.

I guess it's best to push the 'pause' button on modesty to write this description. I am far from perfect, but I do have some quite lovely qualities if I do say so myself. They are, in no particular order: An irreverent sense of humor that is subject to fine sharpening in the company of the right person(s). A warm and capacious heart that has room for almost everyone. A passion for books and music, and the finer things in life. A deep love of the outdoors and of the Earth. A tenacity that is on occasion to be feared, even by myself. I am the eternal optimist, "sunny side up" as my mother says, and youthful in all ways. I take loving care of this amazing gift of a vessel, my body, and its pilot, my mind. I have my own toolbox and I can top off my car's oil. I overuse exclamation points and the word 'passion'. I must be a passionate person!!! I like dogs and relate more to dogs than cats- for example, I am loyal, friendly and I love to ride shotgun with you in your car on a nice day.

Some suggestions if you want me to notice you: you're willing be a good friend first, and are someone who has more or less made peace with his demons and has a free heart. A positive attitude and optimism are essential, also the ability to laugh freely & laugh a lot, especially at your funny self. The qualities I admire most are courage and generosity, I consciously strive for both each day. Confidence without arrogance, curiosity, intelligence, passion, and integrity are beautiful. Well-groomed: essential. No addictions. No fear of frank communication. Men with power tools are encouraged to apply.

Beyond those basics, I am physically, mentally, and socially active and engaged, so it is imperative that I meet someone who is the same. I am an adventuress. I love to travel and immerse myself in different cultures, learning the language, customs, cuisine, etc. But I am also a home-girl, love cooking, gardening, time with my grown kids and general chillaxin'.

A final thought: A wise man once wrote that we should walk through life with 2 notes, one in each pocket. One reads, "I am dust", the other, "For me this world was created". In other words, continually strive to strike a balance between self-love and humility. Are you carrying both of these notes?
